How to manually import a contact list into your account

Have a contact list you want to upload to your account for lead nurture?

If you find a need to upload a lead list, a member list, or maybe you got a mailing list sign up from a health fair event you attended. You can upload these contacts into your account so you can lead nurture them! You just need to make sure the file you are uploading is a .CSV file type.

1. Log into your account
2. Click on “Contacts”
3. From the contact list, locate the “Import icon” then click on it…
4. This import screen will pop up
5. Click on Upload a file or drag and drop
6. After the file has been submitted the file name will appear. Verify this is the file you wish to upload. Then click next…
7. Next you will need to map the fields from the CSV file you uploaded to be put into the appropriate fields
8. From the drop down list, select the appropriate map fields the match the fields from the file you’re uploading
9. Check “Don’t import data in unmatched columns”. Then click next…
10.Now you are in the ‘Map’ step. Click on the ‘Advanced’ dropdown to edit more details.
11. Click on “Add New and Update Existing Contact Records”
12. Click on “Email” as the check so as not to create duplicate contact records

NOTE: You can select any field to match the data from, but we recommend using email

13. Click on “Tags”, then find or create the tag in your system that you want these imported contacts to be tagged with.

NOTE: you can add multiple tags if you wish

14. If you want to add these contacts to a workflow right away. If no, leave this off.
15. Find the workflow you want to add these contacts to from the drop down list
16. Click on “Submit”
